January 8, 2000: Configure Script Completed, Tree Structure Revised
It has been awhile since the site was lasted updated, but work is still being done. A configure script for AllOS has been completed, and is in place. The tree structure has also been revised, and the CK documents have been updated. Lastly, a dynalinker should released soon.

September 17, 1999: Continued Progess, Minor Web Site Update, NetSK Site Update
Work on the Cache Kernel is continuing at a steady pace, the IOSK is being worked on, and a configure script for AllOS has been started. Minor updates to the main web site have been made, and the .

August 17, 1999: IOSK/NetSK Site Updates, PHP3 is Now Used, Major CK Changes
There has been a major update to the IOSK Web Site, and an update to the NetSK Web Site is due out soon. The web sites are in the process of being converted to PHP3. This will make updates and management much easier.

There has been an update to the Development Web Site. The Links page has been updated. The existing links have been categorized, and new links have been added. A letter written by Ramon van Handel has been posted, which addresses important recent changes to the source tree. These changes make the CK dependent and unable to run as a standalone kernel. The ABL now loads all the kernels at startup. You can find more details in Ramon's letter.

July 2, 1999: Subteam Web Sites Completed, CVS Tree Soon Online
All of the subteam web site designs have now been completed. You can expect to see more content appear on the subteam web sites as well.

There are plans to put the CVS tree online, on the Development web site. This will be done by utilizing a CGI script that will automatically translate the tree to HTML when modifications are made. For more information on this, try visting Hen's cvsweb CVS Repository. You can expect this to go online on the Development site soon.

June 26, 1999: FAQ Revision, Open Development Model, Services Page Update, cari.net Move Cancelled
There has been a revision to the Alliance FAQ, which corrects minor grammatical errors and updates several sections. There is also a new section on the Member Directory.

Once more, we urge members to contact to get an account at the Member Directory. Having a Member Directory allows for an increased degree of organization within the project.

A reminder that we have switched to an open development model, and that this is now reflected on the web sites and in the Alliance FAQ. To find more information on this, please see the Software Development Process page on the Development Web Site.

There has been an update to the Services page. This revision corrects minor errors, and reflects the new Alliance FAQ. Also, our new servers are no longer planned to be hosted by cari.net. We still have plans to move to a server located in the United States, but we looking for a better alternative.

June 13, 1999: Alliance Internal Release Now Available, cari.net Move Delayed, Member Directory Completed
You can now find the latest Alliance internal release at ftp://ftp.allos.org/pub/allos/trees/daily/. The listservs have been moved to nl.linux.org because list members were not happy with eGroups service. You can find out how to subscribe to the new lists on the Services page.

Also, the move to cari.net has been temporarily delayed. Expect to see the server change within a few months. A new FAQ is now available. This new FAQ is a major revision, and is updated to the minor web site changes. There are plans to revamp the News pages on the main site and the Development site. You can expect to see details of these plans soon.

The Member Directory has now been completed. We ask that ALL AllOS members apply for an account. The Member Directory will contain the names, email addresses, UIN's, etc. of all Alliance members.

February 23, 1999: Status Page Updated, cari.net Plans, Subteam Sites Under Construction
The Status page on the Development site has been majorly updated. Soon, our site will be moving to servers in the United States. The web sites will be hosted by cari.net, as will FTP and mail. Expect to see this change soon. We will most likely use the current server as a European mirror, as it is located in Germany. Most subteams have started their web sites, and they are currently online. One site that is under major construction is the Cache Kernel web site. Please report bugs and errors in subteam web sites to the appropriate person(s), as there are most likely to be many. Lastly, expect to see an update to the FAQ soon, reflecting recent changes.

February 6, 1999: Beta Member Directory Completed
The if you are an Alliance member and would like an account (all Alliance members should have an account). Also, most of the subteams will be starting their web sites soon. A new version of the FAQ has been posted, and an update will be released soon. Lastly, an AllOS FTP server is in the process of being set up. This will contain all of the latest specifications, source code, and other useful downloads.

February 1, 1999: Web Site Redesigned
The web site has been completely redesigned and overhauled. Take a look at the new organization of content. Please email your commments to , the web site administrator. Each individual subteam now has their own site, which contains team-specific content, such as news, status, and members. This is a major improvement, since they are managed individually by each team, which will hopefully bring frequent updates. Other changes include the movement of the development site to http://dev.allos.org, and the separation of the Communication section. You can also find the newest downloads and information at the new Download site. Finally, the FAQ section has been updated.
